Tent collapse in Rajasthan: 14 people were killed and more than 50 are injured

Tent was collapsed in Rajasthan

14 people were killed and over 50 were injured when heavy rain and powerful winds caused a huge tent to break down in the Indian state of Rajasthan on Sunday.

Some were electrocuted by alive wires at the tent caved in, and others killed by falling waste, Reuters reported.

Local outlet the Hindustan Times said 300 people had assembled inside the tent for a religious outflow.

The break down took place in the area of Barmer district of Rajasthan.

The state's disaster administrator and relief minister Bhanwar Lal Meghwal interrogate why organizers had not switched off the power supply in the visibility of the wet weather.
